Back in May of 2024 we extended an invitation to join Drs. Uthman & Susan Cavallo as they set out to build a new community at PHA geared toward healing and growth.
This group of founding members met with the Cavallos every 2-3 weeks and covered various topics from communication skills to nutrition to spiritual growth.
Below are two video excerpts from our 1/11/25 "Celebration of Impact" Event where Aubree and Caitlin share the profound impact of their experience with PHA and as members of the 2024 pilot version of the Acts2Thrive Community.
Another founding member, Sarah, also shares how A2T helped draw her out of a season of hopelessness to feeling inspired and motivated again.
Sara's Experience:
"I joined Acts2Thrive because I was looking to deepen my faith and just so believed in PHA that whatever they were doing, I wanted in.
I had no idea when I joined that within a couple months I would go through one of the most difficult times of my life. I have labeled it “postpartum depression “ but truly it was just absolute hopelessness which seemed to come out of nowhere.
I stopped attending meetings because it was hard to even hear about God, and I just had little capacity to do anything. A couple months went by and slowly I got back into at least listening to the meetings after they were recorded and started to slowly find hope through the topic of everyone having a call for their life and finding that essential purpose.
Hearing other people’s stories in the community made me feel inspired and motivated me to keep seeking God’s will for my life. I particularly was grateful for the challenges that were put forth that were easy to implement into my everyday life, such as journaling and creating a vision board.
A few months ago at church a guest speaker brought up how an NBA player had said that the player they were most jealous of was Scottie Pippen, because a lot of people believe he got to be such an amazing player mainly by being a teammate of Michael Jordan. The speaker said, “Find the Michael Jordans of faith, be around those people”. I knew instantly to stay in Acts2Thrive because that is both the doctors, and [Amina] as well. Thank you!"
