Sara received her Bachelor’s of Science in nursing from West Virginia University and her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Carson Newman University.
After working as a registered nurse for 13 years, Sara’s desire to improve lives by empowering others to achieve their health and wellness goals inspired her to become a nurse practitioner.
When asked what inspired her to pursue service in the medical field, Sara says:
“Medicine and science have always fascinated me. I enjoy the challenges of finding answers to medical problems and using my knowledge to begin the healing process. I enjoy being part of patient care and witnessing their journey to wellness.”
What energizes her the most about practicing at PHA? ...
“PHA aligns with my values and goals as a provider. PHA integrates lifestyle and complementary medicine along with western medicine to discover and treat the root causes of symptoms and concerns patients may have. Ultimately, PHA recognizes that wellbeing is achieved by treating the whole person, mind, body, and soul.”
Outside of PHA, Sara enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, camping, biking, and hiking.
