Roxie Sweikar (Yoga Therapist and Class Instructor) will lead you through restorative yoga postures, simple breathing practices, and mindfulness techniques with the goal of finding more ease in the body and mind.
Restorative yoga postures counteract the muscle tension and stiffness that follow anxiety, poor posture, previous injury and inactivity.
These gentle positions help improve blood flow to organs, promoting health and healing.
The breathing practices help to restore a natural breathing rhythm—bringing balance to the nervous system, increasing the amount of circulating oxygen, and deepening awareness of our internal state.
Mindfulness techniques calm as well as sharpen the mind, often providing insights and new understanding of our response and tolerance to stress.
These components come together to provide an hour-long class where you will take ownership of your well-being, feel better in your body and prevent future imbalance and disease.
Roxie Sweikar is a certified Yoga Therapist working with PHA to provide yoga classes as well as both private and group yoga therapy opportunities.
